The most difficult project I've had at school so far, but it was a good learning experience. This took over 50 hours of work and about 5-7 weeks. We had to recreate Vermeer's smooth painting technique through a variety and multiple layers of smooth blends. This is officially my first real acrylic painting ever. I am not particularly happy with it since I could have gone smoother and retained a bit more likeness to the girl. In any case, I got a 90 on it. 14"x18", Acrylics on canvas. (Sorry for the crappy photo, it doesnt fade to light brown IRL, its all very dark.

Well.... This took forever... My hands hurt, and I'm extremely tired.. ... considering it's now 6:30 AM, or there about. Don't think I've ever done a river otter before, so I decided it'd be the subject of this drawing along with fishies! YAY fishies! Indeed this is actually a HUGE image at 2492 x 900. It's going on stuff in my shop! You may use this as a personal desktop background, but thats all I give permission for. Time taken : ummmm... around 10-11 hours? .. maybe more.
